"We share God's love with those around us"
As followers of Jesus Christ, Christians are sent into the world to live lives inspired by his love and teaching and to bring that transforming and sacrificial love into all aspects of society.
They invite others to find faith and follow Jesus as disciples, inspired to live a "Jesus Shaped Life".
This work of mission is encapsulated in the Anglican Communion’s Five Marks of Mission:
The mission of the Church is the mission of Christ:
We proclaim and celebrate the gospel of Jesus Christ in worship and action.
We value our heritage of biblical faith, reason, liturgy, tradition, bishops and synods, and the rich variety of our life in community.
We acknowledge that God is calling us to greater diversity of membership, wider participation in ministry and leadership, better stewardship in God’s creation and a stronger resolve in challenging attitudes and structures that cause injustice.
Guided by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to respond to this call in love and service and so more fully live the life of Christ.

The mission of the Church is the mission of Christ:
- To proclaim the Good News of the Kingdom
- To teach, baptise and nurture new believers
- To respond to human need by loving service
- To transform unjust structures of society, to challenge violence of every kind and pursue peace and reconciliation
- To strive to safeguard the integrity of creation, and sustain and renew the life of the earth

All Souls Parish Mission Prayer
God our Father,
we offer you praise and thanksgiving
for all the many gifts you have given us
through Jesus, Your Son.
We thank you especially for the gift of our parish.
Grant that our parish mission may be:
a time of grace for all,
a time of growth for the young,
a time of refreshment for the old,
a time of renewal for families,
a time of healing for the broken,
a time of joy for the sorrowing,
a time of forgiveness for the sinner,
a time of homecoming for those who may feel distant from your loving care.
May charity and our witness of faith help them to find you once again.
Send your Holy Spirit to guide us
as we discern your will for the spiritual renewal of our parish.
Help us to be courageous in your mission.
Let this parish and its members
be the “good ground”
in which the sower’s seed will take deep root and produce an abundant harvest.
To our God and Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
